In an effort to further enhance our company’s cyber defenses, we want to highlight a common cyber-attack that everyone should be aware of — Impersonation of KingSwap’s Brand

These types of attacks are created by cyber-criminals who are creating fake social media profiles in order to impersonate our brand.

These cyber-criminals have also been known to create other fake profile pages, get large amounts of likes and then change the entire page name and content to something else. This is a very efficient way to distribute their scams.

Please look at the following examples:

These imposters will create an account using similar names as KingSwap’s team members and act as the internal team asking for sensitive information like what wallet tokens you stored in.

These attacks can take many forms, but they all share a common goal — getting you to share sensitive information such as login credentials, credit card information, or bank account details.

The main risk to businesses from these fake social media profiles is damage to their brand name and reputation. Fake profiles might post fake offers, promising something enticing to customers, or provide fake contact details for the business, which will then cause customer frustration when they can’t get through to the department they need. They might provide offensive responses to customer complaints or post incorrect product information on the profile page.

Although we maintain controls to help protect our networks and computers from cyber threats, we rely on you to be our first line of defense. Please report accordingly to the social media that is connected to and do highlight to us on this issue as well.

  • ”Regulated” — KingSwap commissioned Gravitas International Associates Pte Ltd, a Singapore Payment Services Act (“PSA”) exempt company, to issue the $KING tokens. A legal opinion regarding the token issuance has been submitted to the MAS in accordance with the PSA requirements. Gravitas has already submitted an application to the MAS for full licensing under the PSA, and the said application is pending review.
